Our History
Ausczylwik Kennels are owned by Artur and Kellie Marcinkowski who have been involved in dog training for over 20 years. During that time Artur has been heavily involved in character selection for working dogs breeds ranging from Dobermans, German Shepherds, Malinois and Rottweilers. We have owned, bred and trained most of these breeds during the course of our business and ongoing training and development. In 2004 we decided that the Dutch Shepherd is our preferred breed as it possesses a mixture of character traits found in the four previously mentioned breeds. In 2006 the first Dutch Shepherds were imported to Australia to form the basis for my kennels and with Lars’s help created a sister kennel Ausczylwik.
Ausczylwik Kennels is located on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia.
Our Objectives
Our ambition is to breed mentally strong and capable dogs, with good health and exterior. The dogs must be very proficient no matter if they’re used as competitive dogs or for example police dogs, security dogs, search and rescue dogs, detection dogs, or any other area of expertice. For us it’s important with superior mental constitution and endurance of the dogs we use in breeding, as well as a already proven ability to perform. If you plan to get a dog from our kennel, you should have a very clear idea of what you wish to accomplish.
About Artur
Artur has been working towards his current commitment his entire life. His lifelong passion for dogs originally manifested in owning and performing at many public exhibitions including the Brisbane Ekka, Toowoomba Royal Show, Ipswich Show as well as many regional shows throughout country QLD. He purchased his first German Shepherd more than twenty years ago and in 1994 became involved with Mike Aylwards where he completed his first formal dog obedience course and dog handler course. He combined his talent and skills with the Bachelor of Business from Queensland University to start his own security business, providing a level of protection previously not provided in the state. The business – originally called Complete K9 Services and Security and later abbreviated to CK9-SAS – proved wildly successful and is still trading under Artur and Kellie’s names to this day. Always seeking to improve, Artur’s quest to provide an even better service saw him travel the world looking for the best dog to suit his and his clients’ needs.
In 2004/5 Artur struck a deal with an overseas kennel and in particular Lars Czylwik and in early 2006 imported the first two Dutch Shepherd dogs to Australia. Artur was instrumental in getting the Dutch Shepherd breed recognised with the Australian Canine Council and in March 2010 the Dutch Shepherd breed was added to the list of pure bred dogs in Australia. In June/July 2010 Artur visited Lars Czylwik in Sweden where he had the opportunity to do some dog training with Lars and with the Swedish Police. After realising that Artur and Lars had similar view on dogs and training, Artur with the help of Lars formed a sister kennel to the Swedish Kennel. We are happy to announce and introduce Dutch Shepherd Kennel AUSCZYLWIK. Thanks to Lars Czylwik our sister kennel has access to exceptional Dutch Shepherds dogs for breeding and selecting the right combinations to achieve our objectives and world class access to training, experience and Judges.
